Dr. Holly Latty-Mann is the president and co-founder (with the late Dr. Jim Farr) of The Leadership Trust?. Holly specializes in promoting sustainable gains in emotional intelligence for all those who seek to inspire trust, cohesion, and collaboration with not only their fellow employees but also anyone regarded as a stakeholder in their life (e.g., clients, prospects, vendors, family members, friends, and community associations). Because “work affects home, and home affects work,” it is common for those who have worked with Holly to report saved marriages and greater family harmony on top of improved corporate relationships and positive business gains.
In 2018 Holly was deeply honored to be named a Trust Across America 2018 Lifetime Achievement Honoree. This was Holly’s fifth consecutive year for maintaining the status of a Top Thought Leader in Trust and Trustworthy Business. This honor recognizes that Holly inspires “organizations to look more closely at their higher societal purpose…to create greater value for, and trust from all of their stakeholders, and acknowledge that trust is a ‘hard currency’ with ‘real’ returns.” Using a rigorous selection methodology, Trust Across America – Trust Around the World notes this award is an acknowledgement that Holly’s “work is shining a spotlight on the importance of trust and providing a roadmap for others to follow.”
Additionally, her compelling methodologies to educate, train, and grow a diverse, broad segment of the corporate world have been recognized by various certification organizations in the form of granting continuing education credits (e.g., PDUs) as a means for her program attendees to maintain their certification status. An example of this includes the Project Management Institute or PMI for PMPs. Her partnership with the NC chapter of PMI (NCPMI) includes regularly occurring certification opportunities through tailored presentations and workshops. Similarly her programs attract and offer high value for Agile practitioners, coaches, and Scrum Masters.
She uses an extended holistic, integrative model designed to heighten both emotional and social intelligence through self-awareness processes at root-cause level. She also performs comprehensive, customized leadership impact studies, corporate assessments, organizational development initiatives, onsite/offsite team-building retreats, and strategic culture studies for diverse businesses and industries. Every year Holly donates time to non-profit organizations in the form of pro bono workshops and presentations.
Latty-Mann, a currently licensed clinical psychologist for over 20 years, completed her post doctorate in clinical psychology at Kent State and Duke University Medical Center after having earned a doctorate of philosophy from the University of South Carolina in experimental psychology (social psychology/personality). She served as Executive Professor of Leadership Development at the Wake Forest University School of Business and later formed alliances with other major North Carolina universities including Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, their Coach K Center on Leadership and Ethics. Her leadership research with NC State culminated in dissertations and articles.
Holly’s serious passion is animal welfare. Her semi-serious passion is piano, and her lighthearted passion is foreign travel, having traveled extensively and mostly for fun to more than fifty foreign countries. When in North Carolina, you’ll find her hiking and biking her favorite trails, creating what she describes as “Total freedom, total joy, one big smile!”
